If you’ve ever dreamt of being surrounded by a pack of beautiful, playful huskies—all vying for your attention, their tails wagging, their voices “singing”—then the Husky Kennel Tour at Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation is your dream come true. This is your chance to step into the world of our rescued huskies, meet them on their home turf, and experience the pure joy of being part of the pack.
Why the Husky Kennel Tour is Special
Our husky pack is the heart and soul of Eagle Heights. These are dogs who needed a second chance and found their forever home with us. They’re a diverse bunch, each with their own personality, quirks, and story. Some are gentle and calm, others are bundles of boundless energy. Some are vocal “talkers” who’ll chat away to you, whilst others are quiet observers who prefer to show their affection through gentle nudges and tail wags.
The Husky Kennel Tour gives you exclusive access to our husky kennels and the opportunity to interact with these magnificent dogs in their own space. It’s intimate, it’s joyful, and it’s an experience that dog lovers consistently describe as “the best experience ever.”

What’s Included in Your Husky Kennel Tour?
Exclusive Access to the Husky Kennels
This isn’t a quick peek through a fence—you’ll be welcomed into the husky kennels themselves, where our pack lives, plays, and relaxes. You’ll see where they sleep, where they socialise, and get a real behind-the-scenes look at how we care for these wonderful dogs.
Our kennels are designed with the huskies’ well-being in mind. You’ll see firsthand the level of care and attention that goes into looking after a pack of this size, and our handlers will explain the daily routines, feeding schedules, and enrichment activities that keep our huskies happy and healthy.
Meet and Interact with Rescued Huskies
Here’s where the magic happens. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and interact with a selection of our rescued huskies. Imagine being surrounded by these beautiful dogs, each one eager to say hello, receive a cuddle, or show off their personality.
You’ll learn each dog’s name, hear their individual rescue stories, and discover their unique personalities. There’s the gentle giant who loves a good ear scratch. The playful youngster who can’t resist a game. The wise old soul who’s seen it all and just wants to lean against you for a quiet moment. The vocal diva who’ll serenade you with husky “songs.” Every single dog has something special to offer, and you’ll have time to connect with them all.
Learn About Husky Care and Rescue
Throughout your tour, our knowledgeable handlers will share insights into husky care, behaviour, and the challenges these dogs face. You’ll learn why huskies end up needing rescue (often due to people underestimating their needs), what makes them such unique and demanding pets, and how we provide for their physical and emotional well-being.
You’ll discover fascinating facts about the breed—their Arctic heritage, their incredible endurance, their pack mentality, and their distinctive vocalisations. You’ll understand why they need so much exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction, and why Eagle Heights is such a perfect home for them.
This isn’t just entertainment—it’s education that raises awareness about responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal rescue.
Complimentary General Admission
As with all our experiences, complimentary general admission to Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation is included with your Husky Kennel Tour. This means you can arrive any time from when we open and stay until closing if you wish. You’re not restricted to just your tour time!
Make a full day of it: enjoy your Husky Kennel Tour, then explore our grounds and meet our 50+ other animal residents including meerkats, alpacas, and more than 20 species of birds of prey. Watch our spectacular flying demonstrations, grab lunch or refreshments at our tearoom, and soak up the peaceful countryside atmosphere. The whole day is yours to enjoy.

Why Choose the Husky Kennel Tour?
It’s Perfect for Dog Lovers
If you love dogs, this experience is pure heaven. Whether you’re a husky enthusiast, a general dog lover, or someone who simply can’t resist a wagging tail, this tour delivers joy in abundance.
For those who can’t have a dog of their own—whether due to rental restrictions, work commitments, or lifestyle—the Husky Kennel Tour offers a wonderful way to get your “dog fix” and experience the unconditional love and enthusiasm that only dogs can provide.
It’s Educational and Inspiring
You’ll leave with a deep understanding of husky behaviour, rescue work, and animal welfare. This isn’t just fun (though it absolutely is fun!)—it’s also meaningful education that can inspire more compassionate choices and greater awareness of animal welfare issues.
Children especially benefit from this kind of hands-on learning. They’ll see firsthand what rescue means, why it matters, and how they can make a difference. It’s the kind of experience that can shape values and inspire future conservationists and animal advocates.
You’re Supporting Rescue Work
Every penny from your Husky Kennel Tour goes directly towards the care of our rescued huskies – that’s food, veterinary care, enrichment, staffing, and facilities maintenance. Your booking helps us continue providing the high standard of care our huskies deserve and enables us to rescue more dogs in need.
When you book this experience, you’re not just treating yourself—you’re making a real difference to the lives of rescue animals.
It’s Suitable for All Ages (8+)
At 8+, the Husky Kennel Tour is accessible to a wide range of visitors. It’s perfect for families looking for a unique, educational day out. It’s ideal for teenagers who love animals. It’s wonderful for adults who want to do something different. And it’s brilliant for multi-generational groups—grandparents, parents, and children can all enjoy this experience together.
Unlike some of our more physically demanding experiences, the Kennel Tour doesn’t require hiking fitness or extensive mobility.
It’s Intimate and Personal
With small group sizes and dedicated handler attention, the Husky Kennel Tour feels personal and special. You’re not part of a crowd of 50 people trying to glimpse the dogs from a distance. You’re right there with them, in their space, receiving their full attention. It’s the kind of intimate animal encounter that creates lasting memories.
It’s Great Value
At £65 for two participants, the Husky Kennel Tour offers exceptional value. You get an hour with our huskies, expert guidance, educational insights, and full-day access to Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation including flying demonstrations and all our other animal residents. Where else can you get that much joy and experience for that price?

Meet Some of Our Husky Personalities
Whilst we can’t introduce you to all 30+ huskies here, we can give you a taste of the wonderful personalities you’ll meet on your tour:
There are the gentle giants—big, calm dogs who love nothing more than leaning against you for a cuddle. There are the comedians—playful clowns who’ll make you laugh with their antics. There are the vocalists—huskies who’ll “talk” to you with their distinctive howls and woofs. There are the athletes—high-energy dogs who are always ready for action. And there are the wise old souls—senior huskies who’ve seen it all and radiate calm contentment.
Every single dog has a story. Some came from neglectful situations. Some were surrendered when their owners couldn’t cope with their energy. Some were strays. All of them found safety and love at Eagle Heights, and now they’re thriving. Meeting them and hearing their stories is both heartwarming and inspiring.
